OOC
1. I don't mind swearing, just not every other word, you know? And also, no swearing at other people, ever. Swearing every now and then is fine, for emphasis purposes or, w/e.
2. Please only use talk ooc in the ooc boards, that is why I made them!
3. Absolutely no fighting with another user. It's perfectly fine for your cats to fight, but not you as an actual person. If you must 'debate aggressively' shall we say, over a topic, please go to PMs. If you have conflicts with someone who won't leave you alone, just tell me and I'll deal with it. If you're problem is with me, then tell me and I'll try to fix it, however, if I can't, then I guess you'll have to deal with it or leave, sorry.
4. Only one account per person, please. If I find out you have more than one account, I will delete it. There's really no need to have more than one account since you can have as many characters as you want.
5. For your display name, choose your main character that you're going to be playing and call yourself that just to make it simpler, if you don't really have a main character, then just use the first one you made, or if you can't decide between 2, just use both. I just think it's really annoying on some sites where people have display names that have absolutely nothing to do with anything, like ZacFanGurl or something stupid like that, so if you'd follow this rule, you will keep from annoying me I guess. ^.^ Thank You.
6. Please do not join if you know you won't be on at least once a week. It is very frustrating waiting a week for others to reply to your posts when you've made a thread with them. And absolutely do not make a high rank character if you are not going to be on at least twice a week; I need my high ranks to be active members.
Characters
1. You can have as many characters as you want. HOWEVER, if you cannot keep up with them all, I will ask you to put one or more up for adoption or just delete them. By 'keeping up with them' I mean at least one post a week with EVERY character. One a week is not much to ask.
2. You may only have one Alpha, though overall, you can have 2 high ranking wolves. If you do have 2, however, you cannot have two of the same position, meaning you cannot have two Betas or two Healers/Tellers/Scouts or their Learners. Also, if you play an Alpha, you can not play a Beta and vice versa, though I will allow you to play a Healer/Teller/Scout or their Learner. One last note about high ranking characters, if you do have 2, they can not be from the same Pack.
3. Your characters can break the Law of Sun and Moon as much as they want, this doesn't mean that they won't get punished for it by their Alpha or SkyPack(ME).
4. Senior Hunters are also limited. There are only a few of these in each Pack, so I will probably only allow you to have one of these, and after a while, they will no longer be available.
5. On to the matter of mothers and pups and mates and what not. No wolf should have more than about 5 pups at time, and really, it depends on your Pack as well. Wolves in TundraPack or DesertPack rarely ever have more than 4 pups at a time, while wolves from RiverPack might have up to 7. As to fur colors, the mother gets to decide what all of her pups look like and they do not have to have any resemblance what-so-ever to their parents if you really don't want them to, but they should probably have at least one similar trait. The mother also gets to name them all without input from the father unless she asks for it. Unless the father wants to play one, then the father can decide the name and what it looks like. The mother gets to decide for the majority though. Also, if there are pups that neither the mother nor the father wants to play, then it is the mother's job to put them up for adoption in the adoption boards and choose who gets to play them. As for half-Pack pups, the pups stay with the mother unless the Pack will willingly hand them over to the father's pack, which probably won't happen considering how important pups are to the Pack, half-Pack or not. Also, Alphas and Betas MUST mate every season, but no other wolf needs to mate at all. (Truthfully, I would rather no other wolf mate besides the betas and alphas, but I know what a drag that can be, so I'm letting you, just don't mate every season)
6. As for Learners becoming Hunters and receiving new names, your Alpha gets to decide what your new name is going to be(Alpha female will decide for faes and Alpha male will decide for males, just to make it fair). You can request a name or a few names and they might consider it, but otherwise it is completely their decision
7. Sorry, but at least for the time being, no one will be allowed to play a SkyPack wolf. I might make the option available in the future, but for now, I am SkyPack.
8. All wolves must have a two part name following this pattern:
Alpha male: ____sun
Alpha female: ____moon
Teller: ____sky
Healer: ____leaf
Pup: ____pup
Learner: ____(Learners remove the last part of their name, pup, and remain as a one part name until they earn their full name. This is to symbolize their precarious status among the Pack, and that they have not yet truly earned their place in the pack yet and must work hard to do so)
Other: other than having sun, moon, sky, leaf, or pup, all other wolves can be named anything. Jitha and Pharen can have any type of name they want and do not have to follow any pattern
9. Age Guide:
Pups: 0-4 moons
Learners: 4-at least 12 moons
Hunters: no less than 12 moons-about 84 moons
Senior Hunters: about 84 moons and up
Betas and Alphas should be at least 24 moons old
Keep age in mind when deciding if your wolf should have already had pups and what not as well. No fae should have had pups before being at least 18 moons old. Also, no wolf should probably be older than about 144 moons.
10. A final note, humans do not exist on this world, hence why the site is called A World of WOLVES. So, sorry, no tragic histories involving packs being killed off by humans or w/e.
11. If you use a pic for your wolf, I would like it be of a real wolf, like not one that's drawn, but I may allow it if it looks realistic enough. No wolf can have wings or be green or purple or any strange color like that, the only exception to this is the slight, and I mean SLIGHT bluish tint that TundraPack Tellers can have. Otherwise NO odd colors. I'll be a bit looser on this with Tellers, like my wolf Aurora who's eyes continuously change colors. And no, no one else will be allowed to have a wolf who's eyes change colors, no matter if they are a Teller or not, I'd like markings to be different for each Teller/FreeAugur, considering there aren't many of them.
Posting and Other General Rules
1. feel free to use chatspeak ooc, but NOT ic(in character), EVER. Thank you.
2. Spell out your words, write good sentences and make your posts as long as you possibly can while maintaining creativity and originality, meaning don't be monotonous and boring just to lengthen your posts.
3. Posts must be at least one paragraph long with at least 6 sentences in it ON A BAD DAY. You should be able to get at least that much into a post or else it really isn't worth posting anything. I would rather wait a week for a good post than get an instant crappy one. If your can't think of anything to post, think about the surroundings and weather, the feelings your character is going through, what is your character thinking: include some of their inner thoughts, etc. There are endless possibilities.
4. Sentences within the required paragraph must be descriptive, none of this:
She blinked. She stood. She walked away. She left. She went to the stream. She took a drink.
That is not a paragraph nor do I count it as 6 sentences. I count that as one sentence, poorly written, and if I ever see a post like this IC, I will immediately delete it without warning the writer. Posts like this are completely unacceptable! *cough* Sorry, I'm done with my little rant now. Also, please remember to use the handy little spell check button before you post. I don't always remember, but if I notice typos I usually go back and fix them. Typos are just one of those little things that bug the crap out of me and if you don't fix it, I probably will cuz I'm a freak like that.
5. Swearing is allowed IC, but don't use it A LOT, please. The wolves now how to swear and what not, but I'd still like this to be like, PG-13, so keep it to a minimum please or I'll just change the rule so there is NO swearing.
6. There will be extremely little to no power playing/godmoding/etc. I know it makes it difficult to post sometimes without a TINY bit of it, so I'll let a little slide, but do your best to avoid it altogether. If you do too much I'll tell you and I'll put the thread on hold until you change it.
7. No graphic matings or birthings. When you want to have pups, just start a thread with the wolf you want to have pups with, post for a while, and then say a little later that the fae is pregnant. The fae must be pregnant for at least 2 REAL TIME weeks before she has the pups, and the pups must be pups for at least another 2 weeks REAL TIME before becoming Learners.
*Notice: rules will most likely be updated and changed periodically so it is a good idea to check back every now and then so you don't get in trouble for something that you didn't even know about! I'll make an announcement if I ever change the rules and the added or edited rule will be in red so you can find it easily.
**NOW! Put the NAVY BLUE letters together that you found periodically throughout the rules and that spells the password to the sign-up board. Keep in mind that there are no capital letters and no spaces.
